We are currently in need of donations related to COVID-19: Paper bags and credit card transaction fees to prevent excessive handling and transactions between volunteers and customers. We are waiving transaction fees to protect our volunteers. Northeast Georgia Locally Grown online market is a volunteer-operated project of the Georgia Mountains Farmers Network non-profit, a network of small sustainable farms across Northeast Georgia. Together, we can further the vibrant local food culture, made up of small, diverse farms scattered all across the region. Northeast Georgia Locally Grown membership and weekly purchases help show the need and demand for local and chemical-free food. With your continued support, we are able to work toward facilitating opportunities for small family farmers while improving the quality of life for residents and lessening negative impacts on our environment. Donations to support this organization are tax-deductible, and proceeds from this program allow for us to accommodate future needs involved in getting more chemical-free food from local food producers to your kitchen. Free range grazing is augmented with organic layer pellets. NOTE: Since it is virtually impossible when candling brown eggs to detect blood spots you may experience them occasionally in your eggs. It's good to crack them in a separate bowl before incorporating them into your recipe.

Feel a cold coming on? This elixir can help shorten the duration with elderberries, ginger, calendula, rose hips, orange peel and mullein (lung tonic). Brandy is the base for extraction and honey is added, both which are calming and soothing to irritated tissues of the respiratory system. Since this contains honey, it is not for use in children under the age of one year old. For adults, we use 1-2 dropper full up to 3 times a day at the onset of cold or flu. Some of the ingredients like calendula, elderberry, ginger and mullein are grown on our farm. We enjoy making small batch remedies in our certified kitchen on the farm.

Half price!! This is still the same great garlic. It has just started sprouting. You'll get 3 sprouted bulbs some large and some medium size for just $3.00. I cut the clove down the middle vertically and pull out the sprout after I've pealed it. Then just mince it up in your meal like you normally do. But I've also minced it up sprout in all, it has just a slightly bitter taste like that. Most people don't notice it though. These just won't be as good for roasting in the oven.
