This medium roast coffee comes to us from Chiapas, Mexico. The farms are located in the buffer zone of El Triunfo Bioshpere Reserve. All coffee they produce is shade grown and biological corridors are created in order to facilitate bird and animal migration. You will enjoy a coffee that has nice body with caramel notes and a clean finish. This is a great every morning coffee.

Normally the fruit ("cherry") of the coffee plant contains two seeds ("beans") that develop with flattened facing sides, but sometimes only one of the two seeds is fertilized, and the single seed develops with nothing to flatten it. This oval (or pea-shaped) bean is known as peaberry. Typically around 5% of all coffee beans harvested are of this form. We roast our Tanzania Peaberry medium/dark. Drink it hot and it has chocolate notes on the front end and a grapefruit tartness for the finish. Drink it iced and the chocolate notes intensify. It's a very refreshing summer treat. (I really love this one iced!) This coffee is also great for households that have one person who loves dark roast and another that likes medium roast. It will satisfy both! Note: Coffee will be ground for drip brewers.
