Aster grandiflorus is the King of the Asters! This impressive purple Aster grows to enormous size, 6' tall by 8' across but of course can be kept smaller by cutting back in late June. Perfect for the meadow, field, edge of woods or back of the flower border. It becomes a complete cloud of purple the third week in October when the Monarch Butterflies are making their migration to Mexico. It is an all important nectar source for the adults. Deer and rabbit resistant, drought tolerant, full sun to partial shade. Customer receives a starter plant in a 1 gallon pot. This plant is seldom seen for sale.
