WHAT WE DO
We are a farmers market that operates a little differently than most! Every week, and all year long, we connect you with local food from dozens of small farms within 80 miles committed to chemical-free growing practices. Farmers get to network with one another every week and provide YOU with exactly what you want in the amounts that you want. No minimum order amounts, no huge payments upfront, and no middle man. We simply hand you the products you commit to purchasing from farmers and allow you to write one check instead of multiple. We hope you will enjoy this pretty nifty system which promotes local and sustainable practices all year long! See our FAQ page

OUR GROWERS

We prefer Certified Organic or Certified Naturally Grown farms and personally visit each farm before approving. Not all growers are required to have certification but all growers are committed to not using any synthetic chemicals on your food or the surrounding land.

WHO WE ARE
Northeast Georgia Locally Grown heavily relies on volunteers and our mission is to promote, connect, and collaborate with the local and sustainable food community. Let us know if you are interested in volunteering with us!

HOW IT WORKS
Approved Farmers use the market page to list what they predict will be ready for harvest that week.

  • Market opens for customer orders Fridays at 9 p.m. and stays open for orders through Monday at 9 p.m.
  • Farmers harvest and pack your order Tuesday and Wednesday
  • Volunteers organize your order in a basket with your name and it is ready for pickup at your selected pickup location from 5 – 6:30 p.m. Wednesday evening
  • Payment is accepted at pickup once we check your order. To make payment easier, we share a cash box with the farmers. We depend on your timely payment to operate smoothly.

  • MEMBERSHIP
There is a small annual membership fee of $20 per household to help Northeast Georgia Locally Grown promote local food projects in the region and help cover our overhead costs. You are welcome to try us for three orders before officially becoming members.
