These are fresh, young, tender, full-flavor leaves without stalk or stem, ready for your kitchen. This herb loves cool weather and is coming straight out of the open gardens here at the farm. Use it fresh in Tex-Mex cooking, in soups and salsa, or fresh on your taco. It will add delicious flavor to sea food, pork, fish, chicken and lamb. Fresh is best but it can be frozen to retain some of its flavor. (Don't bother drying it...you might as well use dead leaves from your yard and they're a lot cheaper)!

If you've got Japanese beetles, cucumber beetles and squash bugs, this product will eliminate the problem. Usually sold as dry powder, this slurry is already mixed and measured and dissolves instantly in water for a barricade against almost allo insects. It's amazing for berry bushes, fruit trees, roses, and for all the vegetables in your garden. Not recommended for leafy vegetables such as lettuce, kale, chard or collards since kaolin doesn’t readily rinse off. The same thing goes for tomatoes, peppers, and eggplant. We dig the clay from a deposit on the farm and then wash it several times and strain it. As a final step it goes through a 50 micrometer sieve. Be sure to shake thoroughly before adding (1) 8 ounce jar to 2 quarts of water. Agitate your spray container during use; it’s kaolin’s nature to gradually sink to the bottom. And when you’re done be sure to run water through the sprayer until it comes out clean. This clay in not an insecticide since it doesn’t essentially kill the insects but simply sends them on their way. It does not deter or affect pollinators or predatory insects. This season I’m trying it on my berry bushes and strawberry plants as a deer deterrent. I’ll let you know how that goes. Kaolin is inert and non-toxin. This product in non-edible.
