Mojo peppers have a tropical flavor with a hint of heat. I was looking for a nice pepper to make chile powder and couldn't resist this description: "Exceptional, well-balanced flavor—sweet, fruity, citrusy, and spicy. This one is the favorite of chefs. Although they are touted as a Japanese sweet pepper they vary from sweet to mildly spicy. Use for tempura, fry them, roast them. We like using the cast iron skillet and roast them until they begin to blacken. Add some salt and you have one of the best appetizers on the menu! For organic shishito peppers the market value is anywhere from $12 to $15 per pound (or more) so this is an excellent deal for the connoisseur.

About the same as California Wonders, these peppers are sweet and juicy whether fresh, grilled or stuffed with ground meat and smothered with homemade tomato sauce. There are 5-6 small peppers in a half pound.
