Brandy is the base for extraction and honey is added, both which are calming and soothing to irritated tissues of the respiratory system. Since this contains honey, it is not for use in children under the age of one year old. For adults, we use 1-2 dropper full up to 3 times a day at the onset of cold or flu. Some of the ingredients like calendula, elderberry, ginger and mullein are grown on our farm. We enjoy making small batch remedies in our certified kitchen on the farm.

Elderberries are native as well as cultivated at our farm; we also grow ginger every year and, well, couldn't get rid or the peppermint if we tried! All combine with organically sourced Cinnamon, Licorice root and Star Anise in an organic alcohol. The horseradish has taken over one of our raised beds and we will be pulling a lot of it out. If you are fermenting cucumbers you might like to have some horseradish leaves to cover the brine. That’s why this listing is here, I used them last year and all went very well. They are pretty large for the most part, can be cut as needed of course. Watch for roots next week!
