The encaustic process refers to techniques that use beeswax and damar resin as a medium to create paintings or mixed media photography, giving the image an intriguing surface and density. Tips: The wax and resin will not melt unless exposed to temperatures over 150 degrees Fahrenheit. They are also sensitive to freezing cold temperatures.
