Loaded Goat Farm
Our small farm began in 2017 as a result of my cow milk and chicken egg allergies. I was purchasing goat milk at another farm and driving a good distance and one day decided to take the plunge and get my own goats. The farm name derives from my most favorite TV show, The Andy Griffith Show. In one episode there is a dynamite eating goat and the episode is titled ‘The Loaded Goat.’
I currently have 8 goats along with chickens and ducks. We use only organic feed for our livestock. Our goats have around two acres to forage and our chickens and ducks are pasture raised as well. All animals are locked up at night for protection.
With my extra milk, I make goat milk soap and have a few varieties available and always looking to try new ideas and recipes.
We are licensed to sell raw goat milk for pet use (License #12915) and our egg candling certification will be completed January 30, 2018. We hope to have duck eggs available in February.
